Recently, two talented Johnson C. Smith University students from its communications program tackled the assignment of producing a report about STEAM Sports Foundation's "Immersion Tour."

The foundation takes its scholarship recipients every year to a major race weekend to show the aspiring female engineering students what a career as a motorsports engineer might look like.

This year's stop was an NHRA weekend at zMax dragway outside Charlotte.

Written, produced, and edited by Sha'Nautica Nuness and Miquel Barlow, the students unveiled a video feature that included interviews, live track action, and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
